Our mission includes increasing the visibility of women and gender minorities in Mathematics. Throughout different activities, both in and outside of campus, we hope to encourage young women to pursue careers in the mathematical sciences.

As co-Chair for the Speaker Series committee, I helped serve the mission by inviting prominent female mathematicians to speak in our department. We organized seminar talks: one directed at graduate students, and the other at undergraduates. We also hold Q&A sessions with the speaker and Women’s lunches, to discuss issues faced by women and gender minorities in STEM.
