I am currently supported by the Simons Collaboration on New Structures in Low-Dimensional Topology.
My research is in quantum algebra and mathematical physics. I study tensor categories through three connected problems: how to construct them, how to classify them, and how to build new examples. I focus on symmetric and modular tensor categories in both semisimple and nonsemisimple settings.
A guiding question in my present work is which structures and techniques from the semisimple theory extend beyond semisimplicity, and how these extensions can be used to construct new topological quantum field theories and topological invariants.
I was awarded the WiSE Merit Award for Excellence in Postdoctoral Research by the Women in Science and Engineering program at the University of Southern California in 2026.
I was awarded the 2025 AWM Dissertation Prize by the Association for Women in Mathematics.
I received the Centurion Award by the University of Oregon in 2024.
